Beautiful Blythe
I found my perfect fabric. It’s called Blythe, by Janet Dunn & Rebecca Bischoff for Robert Kaufman. it’s amazeballs. ROSES. Bright, saturated colors. Scattered polkadots. I am IN LOVE. SO, I jumped on the Quilt-As-You-Go Amy Butler Weekender Bag train, and made this. It’s all Blythe, in two colorways (park and garden). I used some leather scraps to reinforce the handles, but otherwise, it’s all Blythe, all the time. here’s the inside: Since I had scraps after making the bag, I made the wallet from Straight Stitch Society. here’s the back, opened...

I feel much more confidant with my paper piecing now, and am bummed that I’ve now done all the blocks. I might need to get a paper piecing pattern book (suggestions welcome)… (this is the back. I’m loving wide binding on the back right now) I put lots and lots of quilted rays on this one. the whole finished block is 7.5″, so it’s quite small. A little bit...

(the quilting says: made for Leonora, with love, Mama, 2013) quilt back quilt front I was trying to figure out the colors to use on this quilt, and the Bean came along to “help” then she sweetly asked if she could pick the fabrics, so she did. and my spectrum mug rug became a purple/gold/pink doll quilt just like...
