Funbot Dress!

I had a little bit of Funbot fabric left over after making all the stuffed robots, so I decided my Bean needed a dress. She LOVES robots.   she couldn’t hold still, she was so excited.   I used my HennyPenny dress pattern, modified a little bit to have a back opening and a facing. (and, as always, I put pockets on the dress. This girl LOVES pockets as much as she loves robots)   I love this pattern because a) it’s quick and easy, and b) the large pieces allow a special fabric to really shine. No fussy cutting or chopped off robots or...

I <3 Carrie Bloomston (a COLLAGE party)

*Giveaway closed, Random Number Generator chose 3 winners, (53, 3, 39)* Thanks for participating! Do you know Carrie? I met her a few years ago at the Long Beach Quilt Show, while walking around, shopping, with my friends, Jules and Tess.  Carrie is AWESOME (and so is her mother). We were drawn into the SUCH Designs booth, and gabbed for hours, and felt like we’d known each other for years. She’s so warm and friendly and wonderful, she probably makes everyone feel as welcomed and loved as we felt, but we certainly left feeling special.  We STILL feel special to be friends with...

A quilt for Kai

whipped out a UFO and bound it quickly so I could gift it to a surprise arrival. (Our friends got the call Friday that their new baby was ready to adopt on Sunday, I found out on Monday). it was sort of an idea tester quilt, so it’s definitely not perfect, but hopefully its imperfections will make them feel like it can be used and spat up upon, etc, right? it’s all Kona and ROAR (both Robert Kaufman fabrics, ROAR is designed by the same person who did The Circus, which I LOVE), and I LOVE them, esp. in this colorway. so bright and cheery! I made this quilt just to test out...

I couldn’t resist. Some peeps on instagram have started a quilt along with scrappy Trips Around. The world, and the blocks looked so cool! I made 4 today, and I love them. Each block is 7×7 2.5 inch squares, with kona ash as the center diagonal (because I had a roll up of kona ash on hand). Also, here is Boots, in a ridiculous sleeping position. Just...
