Lisa’s Lists

  My big sister is the most organized person I know. but she’s not technical. so when I saw this tute, I pinned it right away. I KNEW it was perfect for her. I embroidered her name, since I love alliteration. I added a pen in her favorite color (aqua). I used linen and scraps from the new Grandeur line of fabrics from Robert Kaufman. It’s got lots of lovely blue (Lisa’s fave color) and lily of the valley (her favorite flower), so it’s totally perfect.   Here’s the first of a series of xmas present posts… I made this quilt for my mother-in-law: here’s the front:   and here’s the back: those zigzag edges were not fun to bind.     C tried to take pictures of the long arm quilting I did. It was my first time, and even though I definitely made some mistakes, I think it’s pretty awesome for a first time. Twirly girl dress

The Bean loooooves her Joel Dewberry Heirloom dress. Like, A LOT. When she wears it, she gets really excited and calls herself a twirly girl. She wants more, and I want to maker her more, but I whipped out the first one in an hour of inspiration in the middle of the night back in August. At Sew Modern, a few days ago, she picked out fabrics for her next one, but I wanted to see if I could remember how I made the first one before I cut into new fabric. Luckily I have lots of scraps.
